Pre-Primary School:

"Early childhood education serves as the foundation for all future learning. At the Pre-Primary and early Primary years, the objective is to facilitate learning by creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for them to learn joyfully. Primary School:

The main objective at this stage is preparing the learners’ foundation and readying them to take on the responsibility of being an active participant in the learning process. The Primary School Program focuses on the child’s unique potential both inside and outside the classroom. By the time a child moves from the Primary School Program to the Middle School Program, he/she makes major progress in learning to learn. The focus is on reading and writing, language comprehension, math, critical thinking and inter-personal skills. The key subjects are English, Hindi, mathematics, EVS, art & craft, computer science and physical education are all interwoven into the curriculum. Learning reinforcement is provided through worksheets in every subject, and activity based teaching."

Middle School:

"The middle section aims to give a quantum jump to the knowledge assimilated in the foundation years and to further strengthen the basics of the student. The Middle School Programme at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School is structured to meet children's varied intellectual and developmental needs. . Students are directed towards independent learning and are guided to take on more responsibility. The main objective of this stage is to help the children make connections between the meaningful experiences in life and the course of studies. The curriculum builds on concepts and skills learnt in the Primary School. It ensures progression and continuity across various stages of learning in the School, and incorporates continuous evaluation and review of children's performance. The subjects included in the curriculum in the middle section are: • Three languages, English, Hindi and Punjabi being compulsory Apart from the languages the other subjects are Social Science, Mathematics, Science and Computer. We take resource to various strategies to make their stay in the school fruitful and educative. Structured lesson plans are prepared to impart the knowledge and application in the subjects. These are supplemented with worksheets, smart boards, and activities such as experiments, dramatization, assignments, projects and a multitude of other knowledge enhancing media. A lot of emphasis is given to spoken English. Activities to polish their oratory skills are held and children are encouraged to think out of the box and enhance their creative abilities."
